In the month of February, high school Career Coaches organized Chesapeake Career Conversations, Old Mill High School Career Expo, and Glen Burnie College and Careers Week.
Chesapeake Career Conversations
Rachael Albaugh had Chesapeake Career Conversations on February 14th. Classes visited for half a period and students had one on one discussions with professionals in various industries. Students were encouraged to lead the conversation like an interview, and were given a packet to help them structure their questions.















Old Mill High School Career Expo
Chelsea Jackson held Old Mill High School Career Expo in the cafeteria on February 18th. Students were provided with passports, designed by students at CAT-North. If students asked a presenter questions, they could get a stamp. After earning enough stamps, students were rewarded with snacks.















Glen Burnie College and Careers Week
Simone Briscoe hosted Glen Burnie College and Careers Week from February 18th to February 21st. Various classes visited the library and spoke to presenters from various industries. Additionally, Glen Burnie’s Career and Technical Education coordinator connected juniors and seniors with internship and apprenticeship opportunities.
